Productivity Resources and Workshop

Productivity isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s about discovering what truly works for you.

Productivity Tools That Work for You: Insights from Zoe and Our Workshop

Small business owners juggle countless responsibilities, making it vital to find productivity tools that work for their unique needs. In a recent conversation with Zoe, founder of Z in the Attic, we discussed how tailored tools and strategies can transform how solopreneurs manage their time and energy. Here’s how tools like Trello, combined with workshops like “Mastering Your Productivity,” can make a difference.

Finding the Right Fit:

Zoe shared her initial struggle with Trello, a popular project management tool, and how she felt overwhelmed by its interface. During our session, we walked through its features, starting with creating boards and cards, customising them with lists and checklists, and using visual elements to make it feel personal and functional.  We likened the Trello board to a game of solitaire. This analogy worked well as it also meant that we left some cards unturned, meaning we don’t need to tackle everything in one go.

Zoe’s takeaway? It’s all about making tools your own. By breaking projects into manageable lists and tasks, and prioritizing what truly matters, Trello became less of a daunting tech platform and more of a practical, empowering resource.

Key Productivity Practices from our Online Group Workshop

In our interactive workshop, “Mastering Your Productivity: Planning for Success”, we dive into actionable strategies tailored for small business owners:

  1. Review & Optimise Your Schedule: Discover hidden time pockets in your week for focused work.
  2. Identify Peak Performance Times: Understand when your energy levels are at their highest and plan key tasks accordingly.
  3. Incorporate Proven Techniques: Practices like the Pomodoro Method and mindfulness boost efficiency and reduce stress.
  4. Create a Personalised Work Timetable: Build a plan aligning your peak times with productivity techniques.

The session is hands-on, with follow-up resources, three one-on-one sessions over six months, and a supportive WhatsApp group. It’s designed to help attendees walk away with clarity, structure, and immediately actionable strategies.

Why Productivity is Personal

Zoe’s experience highlighted an important truth: productivity isn’t one-size-fits-all. What works for one person may not work for another, and it’s okay to adapt and experiment. Whether it’s using digital tools like Trello, scheduling for peak energy times, or embracing mindfulness, the key is to find what resonates with you.

By providing a safe, interactive space to explore these options, our workshops empower business owners to take control of their time and work smarter—not harder.
