Greenpeace Mass Lobby 2025
This July, I’m proud to be representing South Cambridgeshire at the Greenpeace Mass Lobby 2025. A nationwide call for stronger, smarter, and fairer climate leadership.
I’m not heading to Westminster with a generic message. I’ll be there specifically as part of the Workers theme, calling for bold changes that support a just transition, green jobs, and a climate-conscious economy that works for everyone—not just big corporations.
Why I’m Showing Up
This isn’t just about policy. It’s about people.
Small businesses, workers in transition, and communities facing the frontlines of climate change deserve more than headlines and handshakes. They deserve action, and a seat at the table.
I believe economic reform and climate action are not mutually exclusive. In fact, they go hand in hand. It’s time for an economy that works for everyone, not just for those who’ve profited most from the status quo.

If you can’t be part of the 9 July lobby at Westminster, this is your chance to add your weight to something bigger. Here’s a link to sign up or message your MP. We’re building a coalition of care, courage, and climate leadership.
Why This Lobby Matters
We all know we’re running out of time to act on climate. But what often gets overlooked is the how. Who’s supported during the transition? Who’s paying their fair share? What kind of economy are we shaping for future generations?
I work with local solopreneurs and purpose-led SMEs every day. These are the people innovating, adapting, and caring deeply about their communities. But they’re not always seen or heard in climate conversations. That’s why I’m going.
The “Workers” Theme: Our Key Asks
1. Support a Just Transition & Fair Tax Reform
We want a government that doesn’t just talk about climate justice, but funds it. That means:
-
Raising corporate wealth tax
-
Removing fossil fuel subsidies
-
Reinvesting in training and green jobs for workers in high-carbon sectors
Fairness isn’t just a value. It’s a climate strategy.
2. Rethink Carbon Capture Funding
£22 billion has been set aside for carbon capture. But most of it’s heading to major polluters with questionable records. We’re asking for:
-
A major share redirected to smaller, science-backed green initiatives that deliver real, measurable impact
-
Accountability and transparency around how funds are used
If we’re serious about reaching net zero, the funding must follow the science. Not the biggest shareholders.

With purpose
Clare
I’m an adventurer by nature. I’ve climbed mountains, dived into cold rivers, and snowboarded through whiteouts. But the kind of adventure I’m most drawn to is quieter: exploring what lies beneath the surface. Of people, businesses, decisions, and dreams. I want to understand what makes someone hold back. What finally gives them permission to leap. I want to notice the exact moment someone starts to light up again.
Most days’ you’ll find me coaching for CMR Focus + Growth, and building Conscious Entrepreneurs. Otherwise, I’ll be watching a wren in my garden, listening to the hum of a bee, marvelling at the seasons of wildflowers.
